Background

Renaissance Asset Finance was established in May 2014 and began lending in July 2014 by Hugh Sigrist, formerly one of the founders, of the very successful, Essex based Brokerage, Reliance Financial Contracts (RFC). This business was sold to a Merchant Bank in May 2008 where Hugh then spent 5 ½ years developing an outstanding lending portfolio.

In the first 12 months Renaissance ended up lending just under £50M.

The business commenced trading with a highly experienced team, where some members had worked together for over 20-years. So we were in the fortunate position of commencing trading with a team of asset finance experts, skilled, highly motivated, focussed and with a real 'can do' attitude. This expertise set us aside from many other lenders and was an important factor in the early success of the operation.

Renaissance Asset Finance specialises in dealing with well-established SME's and HNWI's. Its prime objective is to provide appropriate funding solutions for all their clients. This business is sourced from direct end user clients in the SME and HNWI sector, as well as finance brokers who specialise in this market area.

Directors/Management


Mark Lester, Joint Managing DirectorMark Lester, Joint Managing Director: Mark joined Chartered Trust in 1983 before moving to Combined Lease Finance PLC in 1986, where he held various senior credit roles including that of Credit Director. Mark then worked for the Hermes Group for 11 years as a main Board Director and Senior Credit Underwriter. More recently, he was the Credit Director for General Capital and then the RFC / Close Brothers Brentwood business before joining Renaissance in February 2015.


Victoria Fisher, Joint Managing DirectorVictoria Fisher, Joint Managing Director: Victoria has spent 26 years in the asset finance industry. The first 7 years with Milestone Leasing (Woodchester Credit Lyonnais) in Operations, Credit Control and Sales Support. Then 13 years at RFC running Operations and subsequently a further 6 years, as Operations Director, with the Close Brothers Brentwood business. Vikki joined Renaissance in July 2014.


Ann Isaac, Operations ManagerAnn Isaac, Operations Manager: Ann has been in the industry for 25 years. Of these 22 were spent with Lombard working as Senior Account Manager in the City Office and in Special Projects and Training at their Head Office. Ann then spent 3 years working as Operations Manager with the Close Brothers Brentwood business before joining Renaissance in 2014.

Trade & Regulatory Bodies: Renaissance are members of the Finance & Leasing Association (FLA) and abide by their code of conduct. We are also Patrons of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) and follow their trading values. In January 2015, Renaissance became fully authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and fully adopt their key principles of: Protecting Consumers; Enhancing the Integrity of the UK Financial System and Promoting Competition.
